British Design

Today  I was very lucky to work with an amazing textile designer on her lovely Harris Tweed Teacup Workshop inspired by British Designed ceramics, she is lovely and very  talented Emma Dolan. It was hosted by the Victoria and Albert Museum - it was brilliant

Work in progress

I have been working on some pieces where i have been using silk as my paper and drawing onto normal paper and photocopying the image onto heat transfer paper - i know lots of paper mentioned:-) i have been working on them for the last 18mths and i still haven’t finished as yet.  The reason for that is I want to keep the work fresh from my point of view - overworking it when the piece is not ready so …. i stop for a while and do something else until it calls me back.  I haven’t finished them as yet……..

let me know what you think of them so far

Online

http://quiltingmafia.bigcartel.com The sun is shining, which is always wonderful to see and feel but yesterday was so cold and unfriendly. What am I going on about, you mustn't live in the past you must live in the present and maybe the  future? I feel that you must acknowledge the past and learn form it to be able to have a better future.  I have never been that great with my online presences but I have found that it is really needed to further my artistic endeavours.  So with that in mind I have opened an online store so that the world can now see some of the things i make.

I hope you are able to come visit me sometime, don't be a stranger now

sunday morning ritual

Sunday afternoon ritual coffee and cakes, triple baked banana and almond cake and freshly ground coffee.  Coffeepot Wedgewood from my collection and porcelain cup and saucer and side plate, not forgetting the wonderful art cloth produced by Quilting Mafia.
