The Winner and Runners-up of this prestigous award for painting  will be announced on 18 February.  Artists Tom Coates and Henry Gibbons Guy will be holding free workshops during the exhibition at the Mall Galleries. This is the only juried drawing prize founded specifically for those in part-time adult education in London, and aims to investigate drawing as a way of thinking, as a process and as a means of expression in all of its diverse forms and is intended to promote and showcase an exceptional breadth of work.

DERWENT ART PRIZE 2013

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES:  1 JULY 2013
The aim of the Prize is to reward excellence through showcasing the very best works created in pencil by British and international artists, offering prizes of up to £8,750.  Artists can submit work created with any charcoal, pastel, graphite, water-soluble and coloured pencils on any 2 or 3 dimensional support.

Entries will be judged by a distinguished panel of selectors:

Now in its 17th year, and with an impressive total prize fund of £40,000, the National Open Art Competition is calling for entries for the 2013 competition.
